Does bedroom decorating with lotus make sense?

I’m in the process of remodeling my master bedroom and I do really wish to incorporate a “zen” look. I’ve been doing some research on the meaning of a lotus flower and I love the concept of it symbolizing purity and overcoming the stress. On abodelook I spotted some beautiful lotus patterned bed linen and wall art, I want some and will probably order it. Do any of you have lotus symbols in your house? Is it really making the room more peaceful or am I over thinking the décor?
